Rechargeable not Replaceable
- By Robin L. Graham
Batteries as a metaphor for our life experience…
Recently my air conditioner stopped functioning, and while concerned if it needed replaced and the costs involved with that… I decided to check the thermostat controller in case a power outage had turned the system off. What I discovered was that the battery on the controller needed to be changed… whew, that was simple.
Some batteries can be used once, then tossed and replaced, while others are rechargeable and reusable.
Know that you are rechargeable and reusable, not replaceable.
Maybe there are things in your life that you want to let go of, replace, or update—great! Do that!
Some things in our life drain our energy, while other things energize us.
And with batteries, there is an effective way to insert them into the product—if it is an incorrect orientation, then it is as if the battery is not functional. If the battery is not fully engaged in with the connections, it is as if the battery is not functional.
Let’s relate to ourselves:
- What in your daily life experience drains your energy?
- What in your daily life experience increases your energy?
- What in your life has been going and going, but you know it is at the end of its usefulness?
- What in your life could you shift perspective and see from a new orientation?
- What in your life could you engage and connect with differently?
Replace with new:
- How can you shift what drains you?
- How can you do more of what energized you?
- How can you let go of and start something fresh?
- How can you see from a new perspective?
- How can you engage and connect differently?
You are a critical part of the whole. While we may not realize the impact we are having – know that you make an impact both within yourself and with others.
Sometimes only a small change is needed like a single triple A battery, and sometimes a larger change is required like 4 D-batteries… yet you can choose to recharge and renew anytime.

If you have not attended a PSYCH-K® workshop, then use what you know to transform or contact me about my private session program or find a workshop and learn how to be free to create your future.
In working with me, what is appreciated is the ease and simplicity that the PSYCH-K® approach provides in transforming experiences that hold someone back and to be able to move forward.
