The Reality of Achieving
- By Robin L. Graham
Setting a goal and achieving it is a direct path from start to finish… NOT.
As this images presents, the reality of achieving something becomes a path with ups and downs rather than a direct line. There are both internal and external bumps and blocks that can come across your intended path.
The internal self-talk we want is supportive and curious as we move forward with learning what we need to succeed.
However, what often occurs is:
- a concern about what if I fail
- a doubt about can I do it
- a struggle with practicing something new
- a question about is this the best approach
In addition to the above, externally we may experience:
- unsupportive comments from others
- unexpected issues to solve
- unknown influences to shift around
- underestimated time requirements
If we have our own internal doubts, then the external feedback will be amplified.
Being clear about why you want to achieve the goal gives you a solid point to reconnect when internal or external doubts arise.
And knowing that external bumps may occur allows you to be adaptable and flexible in continuing on your goal journey.

If you have attended a PSYCH-K® workshop, then reflect, create the Goal Statements/ Beliefs to support what you desire, and Balance to integrate your new beliefs. Then take action to demonstrate your commitment.
If you have not attended a PSYCH-K® workshop, then use what you know to transform or contact me about my private session program or find a workshop and learn how to be free to create your future.
In working with me, what is appreciated is the ease and simplicity that the PSYCH-K® approach provides in transforming experiences that hold someone back and to be able to move forward.
