Imprints: Inspiring or Discouraging

Imprints occur throughout our life… both to us and by us.

Imprints are the impression, impact, influence or lasting effect that something or someone has had in your life or you in someone else’s life.

Imprints can be a first impression that colors your thoughts or expectations about someone which research indicates can occur within 7 seconds of meeting someone. Have you had a first impression of someone that later you realized was not who they actually were? Was it easy to change your thoughts and expectations once you knew your first impression was incorrect?

An imprint can be your fingerprint which is unique to you.

Or footprints in the sand that are there until the wave erases them.

Imprints can be a clay impression such as a child’s hand print to enjoy into the future.

Or a fossil millions of years old to give insight into the past.

An imprint can be both physical and emotional such as a slap on the body can leave a hand print as well as an emotional imprint. The physical print will fade away, however, the emotional one often stays around for a long time creating ongoing discouraging self-talk.

An imprint can be inspiring such as the awe of seeing the majestic mountains, gorgeous ocean or beautiful animals as well as quotes or conversations with someone.

An imprint can be through direct experience as well as passed down culturally even without words or education.

~What are the imprints in your life?
~Who left imprints for you?
~What imprints have you had in someone else’s life?
~What imprints do you want to share?
~What imprints do you want with yourself?
~How can you interpret imprints differently than you did originally?

Remember, you create your perceptions and beliefs that impact your daily experiences and your future possibilities.

Consider the imprints in your life and those you have left with others or will leave in the future…what would you choose to do differently?

To get something different, you have to shift from the inside out.

If you have attended a PSYCH-K® workshop, then reflect, create the Goal Statements/ Beliefs to support what you desire, and Balance to integrate your new beliefs. Then take action to demonstrate your commitment.

If you have not attended a PSYCH-K® workshop, then use what you know to transform or contact me about my private session program or find a workshop and learn how to be free to create your future.

In working with me, what is appreciated is the ease and simplicity that the PSYCH-K® approach provides in transforming experiences that hold someone back and to be able to move forward.
